Liverpool 5G Testbed

A 2018, UK government project, funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sports (DCMS) has set up a 5G testbed in Liverpool where Blu Wireless is part of a consortium of SME’s that will provide wireless technology to bring gigabit broadband networks to deprived areas, building the foundation for next generation healthcare services in those areas.

AutoAir 5G Testbed

A 2018, UK government project, funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sports (DCMS) includes the AutoAir 5G testbed for connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV), where Blu Wireless are part of a pilot project for providing high-speed transport (cars, buses and trains) with sufficient real-time network bandwidth.

Telecom Infra Project (TIP)

The collective aim of the community is to collaborate on building new technologies, examining new business approaches, and spurring investment in the telecom space. Between Project Groups, Labs, and TIP Ecosystem Acceleration Centers (TEACs), we are driving change in each of these areas. The mmWave Group that Blu Wireless is involved in specifically, will define and advance 60GHz wireless networking solutions to address the growing demand for bandwidth in dense, highly-populated cities by delivering gigabits of capacity more quickly, easily and cost-effectively compared to deploying fiber.
